Major player in dairy feeds seeks Dairy Nutrition Consultant to manage 20-25 customers and mentor/oversee two-three junior dairy feed sales reps. This position is ideal for a seasoned Dairy Feed Sales Rep who wants to transition into a sales leadership role. In this role you will mentor sales professionals to teaching them to balance rations, provide farm management advice and nutritional services to an established and prospective client base of local dairy producers. Compensation based on sales and technical expertise and education. Very competitive salary and bonus program.
To be considered for this job you must possess
BS or MS degree in dairy science, animal science or ruminant nutrition
Practical experience working on a family or commercial dairy farm OR 5 yrs exp in feed sales
An outgoing personality and strong sales skills
A complete understanding of dairy nutrition
Highly developed follow-up skills
Self-motivation, self-direction and the ability to work well on a team
Excellent verbal communication skills, above average written skills
A friendly smile and a passion to be successful in sales
Ability to coach/mentor other sales reps
