Advertisement Cost analyst for Canadian Canola, Soy Bean and Corn crops.
Maintain & update cost models with latest cost results and estimates and reflect management assumptions to ensure accurate cost forecasts and drive for better budget & Long Range Planning
(LRP) process.
Lead the preparation of monthly Cost of Goods sold ( COGs ) and related balance sheet forecasts, annual budgets and LRPs, working closely with seed supply team and commercial business team.
Perform month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing duties regarding Cost of Goods Sold and Inventory for crops supported.
Analytical analysis and management of non-standard COGS on Corn
Provide business analysis support for seed supply team projects, including various ad-hoc analyses, valuation & modeling as necessary to analyze and verify business assumptions, cost drivers, and margin contribution.
Monthly interaction with Commercial and Controllership teams to ensure financials appropriately reflect the business results in compliance with accounting policies and procedures and responsible for cost variance analysis & inventory analysis
Efficient closing and account reconciliations process.
Active partner with the business in process improvements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a business related major, preferably Finance or Accounting with 6+ years of related experience.
- Professional Accounting Designation (CA, CMA or CGA)
- Knowledge of Cost Accounting and Inventory accounting
- Results Oriented - Autonomous and self-driven with an 'act as owner' mentality.
- Communication - Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. Candidate must be able to effectively communicate finance concepts to non finance individuals.
