Job overview
The Marketing and Events Department is seeking an individual who will have experience working in an administrative assistant position. A positive and helpful approach to help organize and assist and have the flexibility to adapt to any situation quickly. The Marketing and Events Department is fast paced and always a busy environment that requires strong attention to detail and timelines. The successful candidate will clearly understand their role to assist other members of the team as required as well as complete regular tasks as assigned. The hours of this position are primarily regular operating hours but do require flexibility for evenings and weekends on occasion for events.

Main responsibilities:
• Be a part of an energetic team devoted to participating in the creative aspects of planning and developing of marketing and events
• Maintain financial records and budgeting
• Prioritize and organize responsibilities to complete tasks on time
• Actively participate in the organization’s Health and Safety program
• Flexibility and availability for special events.
• Record and maintain minutes for meetings
• Provide an attitude of assistance when required

Qualifications:
• High School Diploma required

• Office Administration Certificate / Diploma

• Record / booking keeping skills.

• Experience with Navision an asset

• Standard First Aid, CPR Level C, AED

• Minimum age of 18 years to apply

• The ability to present yourself in a positive and professional manner through tactful communication (both verbal and written) with co-workers, participants and parents.

• Be self-motivated and flexible, organizing your work to maintain tasks within established standards and timelines.

• An appreciation for diversity in co-workers

• The ability to practice confidentiality

• The ability for long term planning

Hours of work
Primary hours of work will be 8:30 – 4:30pm with flexibility for events.
