Concertninja is a platform where fans of artists are able to make concerts happen in their city by launching petitions and crowdfunding their appearance. Think Kickstarter, but for concerts. If the funding stage gathers a target level of support determined by our algorithm, we arrange a venue to hold the appropriate number of attendees, and a date for the performance with the artist. This model and approach turns fans into die-hard promoters of the concert and artist.
Currently, fans are able to explore our concerts page dedicated to events happening in their city. These users are able to share events to the social networks Facebook and Twitter, as well as be directed to online ticket hosts to purchase concert tickets in advance. Our v2.0 release, will be the crowd funding engine where fans are able to influence their local music scene by launching petitions and funding concerts.
What are we looking for? Full-stack web development:
You will have the opportunity to work with one of the world’s first fan-first concert funding platform and a revolutionary system that will engage and empower passionate music enthusiasts. Our project vision is to allow music fans to have a greater influence on their local music scene, becoming a pivotal factor in determining what artists will perform in their city. You will be responsible for front and backend development in accordance with Concertninja’s current objectives.
The Job:
Help develop Concertninja.me
Refactor and implement new features on the backend
Work on making the system scale better
The Skills:
Experience with Javascript and Node.js
Strong Linux skills (preferably you use it every day)
Knowledge of CouchDB and Python
Experience with CSS/web development
Familiar with WordPress development to an extent
Bonus Points:
Git
Haskell
Experience with designing very robust and secure code • Experience with Facebook App development
