Job Summary:
As part of the Human Resources team, the Trades Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for the identification, coordination, facilitation, hiring and deployment of direct field labour for the Ledcor Group of Companies.

This is a 6 month contract opportunity to assist with a large hiring initiative for one of our major projects.  If you are looking for a dynamic position with challenge and opportunity, then this position is for you!
Responsibilities:

  •     Understand current and future manpower requirements by interfacing and communicating directly with site representatives
  •     Build, facilitate and implement a high volume candidate sourcing strategy including posting positions to our website, appropriate job boards, contacting referrals/previous employees and individuals sourced through networking
  •     Review resumes for appropriate skills and qualifications
  •     Contact and screen candidates and verify work experience and credentials
  •     Verify compulsory trade certifications and required training (CSTS etc.)
  •     Administer site pre-access requirements and coordinate site travel arrangements in conjunction with site representatives
  •     Build and facilitate a positive candidate experience as individuals move through our hiring process
  •     Manage the applicant tracking database by moving candidates through the appropriate stages
  •     Coordinate and direct employment inquiries and resumes in a professional manner
  •     Ensure understanding and compliance with collective agreement wage schedules
  •     Interface with Ledcor’s Labour Relations Group regarding adherence to our current collective agreements
  •     Accountable for the overall candidate experience and is measured and evaluated by the results achieved

Requirements:
  •     3-5 years of experience working in a high volume/trades recruiting position from a fast paced, dynamic environment
  •     Post-secondary education in business, trades/construction and/or human resources preferred
  •     Excellent organizational and planning skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  •     Advanced computer skills, including experience with applicant tracking databases, internet search and job board posting
  •     Strong technology orientation, able to utilize an applicant tracking system and technology to manage candidates through the hiring process
  •     Strong communication and phone skills, ability to build rapport quickly and make a high number of calls daily
  •     Sense of urgency with the ability to respond in a timely and efficient manner
  •     Strong service orientation, an understanding and appreciation of the customer requirements
  •     Flexibility and adaptability, an ability to adapt to different requirements, styles and situations
  •     Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow through
  •     High sense of urgency with the ability to deliver results in a timely manner
  •     Ability to travel to various site based projects if needed
