We are currently looking for a full-time Sales Agronomist to support the ever expanding growth of our company. Reporting to the General Manager, the Sales Agronomist will be responsible for proactively developing customer relationships and providing knowledgeable services to our existing customer base. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Be able to demonstrate and execute a wide variety of agronomic services to our customers including – Crop planning
- Nutrient management
- Weed, disease, and insect identification and management
- Harvesting recommendations Promote our ever expanding grain buying business Consult with growers on agronomic issues and challenges, and be able to offer solutions Perform general administrative duties including inside sales, answering telephones, and general office paperwork Assist in growing our customer database Participate in customer functions and meetings Keep up to date with current market trends, product knowledge, and practices

QUALIFICATIONS:    Agricultural based degree or diploma from a recognized institute or at least 5 years experience in the field of Crop Production An understanding of general crop production practices Working knowledge of computers and general office software programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Be a motivated self-starter as well as a team player Be willing to help out in any area if the need arises Valid drivers’ license
