The Information Technology team develops and maintains Bell’s internal systems and applications while also developing integrated technology solutions for customers across all lines of business.
The team manages Bell’s IT Infrastructure and the service availability of over 700 applications, including mission critical billing and service systems. The IT delivery teams drive the IT Work Program with over 60% of IT capital invested in initiatives that support business unit priorities and Bell’s strategic imperatives.
The Bell IT Delivery, Field Services district is made up of IT services teams whose mandate is to lead delivery of optimized business solutions to our Field Services partners, Technology and various other business units.
The team is comprised of highly skilled BAs, PMs, and Technical leads whose expertise enables us to deliver optimized technical work force management applications from scheduling to tracking, by assigning the right technician to the right job and ensuring customer satisfaction. We are currently in search of highly motivated and energetic Business Analysts-Technical to join the IT Delivery team.
The Role:
The candidate will be responsible to work with end users and different vendors on a variety of projects related to new products introductions, new technology introductions and enhancements to existing processes or systems.
Job duties / accountabilities:
* Work closely with end-users to identify and establish requirements for, custom applications or package software in project mode or modification required to find a solution.
* Recommend changes in applications and systems and provide input on whether to patch or upgrade existing applications.
* Review and approve Design Specs.
* Establish systems/applications performance measurements.
* Assist in the definition of system resource needs (hardware).
* Evaluate recommended solutions supplied by the vendors and give acceptance or recommend modification to the solution.
* Identify ways to better deploy existing technology or to modify processes to more effectively leverage the technology.
* Determine deployment strategy and release strategy in consultation with other team members.
* Develop quality test strategy/plan and validate that those standards are met.
* Prepare methods/documentation/procedure for the introduction for new or change systems or processes.
* Complete all documentation under their primeship.
* Ensure that user requests are continuously tracked as a many means of identifying common problems that may require a global solution.
Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
* Must be bilingual
* Strong analytical skills.
* Ability to manage multiple activities at a high level and dive into details when challenges arise
* Ability to effectively facilitate and coordinate meetings, and to negotiate consensus from cross-functional teams
* Understand and articulate IT concepts and issues from a business perspective
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Knowledge and ability to use MS-Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook and MS-Project)
* Understanding of application development frameworks and technologies (SOA, web services, HTML5, jsquery, Spring, etc)
* Strong database skills: SQL & Oracle and ability to extract data for analysis.
* Willingness to manage own time, working extended hours when necessary to meet deliverables
* Willingness to participate in scheduled post deployment system testing during off-hours

Level of Experience and Education
* University Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science <
* Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP)
* 7 to 10 years experience in data modelling and business analysis
* Strong business acumen
* Experience in managing projects
Working Conditions: Nights and weekend work may be required
