DuPont Pioneer is currently recruiting for a bilingual Shipping Coordinator at its Chatham, Ontario Location. Facilitates the shipping of all Pioneer brand products to sales representatives across Canada. Performs various operations which are essential to the production of high quality seed products.
To act as main contact for Sales Rep needs in product shipping, including setting up delivery dates and changing delivery notes.
Coordination of product returns from scheduling to reconciliation including all other activities associated with the returns process.
To facilitate shipping to I.O locations, ensuring all government documentation including phytosanitary certificates.
Shipping/receiving, interplant movement, warehousing, and inventory management of bulk and bagged seed, including safe and efficient operation of forklift.
Other responsibilities will include ISO maintenance, assisting with material requirement process, filing and general warehouse/shipping duties.
Provide back up for shipping responsibilities in team members' absence.
Maintain positive working relationship with all customers.
Compliance with all safety and quality standards.
Support plant LEAN initiatives for all areas of responsibility.
Perform any or all of the tasks associated with general plant operations which may involve supervision of other processes during seasonal peaks including corn, soybeans and wheat.
Able to travel to and work at both Chatham and Ridgetown sites as required.
Skills:
Education and Experience
Two year college diploma or equivalent experience. Shipping experience an asset.
Competencies
Knowledge of production agriculture and production plant operations. Valid Class G driver's license required. Excellent verbal communication skills, work accuracy, and timeliness are essential. Excellent computer skills essential. Must be organized, self-motivated, flexible, and able to work with limited supervision and flexible to work in a team environment.
Must be able to supervise other employees during seasonal peaks. Overtime hours including shift and weekend work required during seasonal peaks. Bilingual in English and French.
