Cargill AgHorizons is the division of the company dedicated to creating value for agricultural producers, specifically grain and oilseed growers in the Prairies and Ontario. This division leads the industry in providing innovations in the areas of grain origination, agronomic and grain marketing consulting, and crop input supplies.
Professionally trained customer focus teams work one-on-one with their producer customers, building long-term relationships-striving to understand their farming business and providing distinctive solutions, matched to their unique needs.
The finance departments for Cargill's Canadian headquarters are located in Winnipeg, MB. There are three different finance departments for AgHorizons:
Grain Accounting, Crop Input Accounting, and Business Unit Financial Reporting, which consist of approximately 85 finance employees. Currently one Accounting Analyst position is available in Crop Input Accounting.

As an Accounting Analyst you will be responsible for: 
- Processing & balancing daily transactions as a central support for the business
- Account reconciliations
- Monitoring internal controls and systems
- Activities related to month end (i.e. financial entries, analysis & reporting)
- Supporting a team in the identification and implementation of process improvement initiatives Specific to the Crop Input Accounting department other responsibilities include:
- Working directly with suppliers on payable positions and statement balancing
- Interacting with multiple stakeholders within the business (purchasing, country locations, product line & programs)in effectively managing supplier payable positions
- Support and assist others in the workplace to achieve a shared outcome
The Accounting Analyst position provides an excellent opportunity to be introduced to the activities within the business and to advance an individual's finance skills to move into higher level finance positions within the organization. Skills:
Required:
- 2 years' experience in accounting/finance
- Completion of the beginner level of an accounting designation or equivalent experience
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Demonstrated initiative, analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task to meet competing deadlines
- Ability to work independently and in an team environment
- Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada on a non-temporary basis
