The Agribusiness Research Analyst is responsible for providing market analysis and information to support the Company’s trading and merchandising activities and to continue development of the internal database of information and analysis in support of the Company’s strategic decisions.
Reporting to the Director, Corporate Development, you will track, analyze and forecast the supply and demand of various commodities.
You will also research and analyze various industries and geographies for future investment opportunities as well as stay abreast of developments in the agriculture industry to assess their impact on the business and potential opportunities.
Your research and recommendations will be summarized and presented in management reports and presentations to key stakeholders.
A minimum of 2 – 3 years of related business experience combined with a university degree in business, economics or agriculture are required.
 Preference will be given to demonstrated experience in research, analytics and management reporting as well as an understanding of the agriculture industry. Knowledge of accounting principles is considered an asset.
 You will possess strong written and verbal communication skills and well developed interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels.
You will have demonstrated the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
