As a diverse company, they specialize in grain procurement, merchandising, milling, animal nutrition programs, farming and food processing.    Entry-Level Accountant, Toronto, ON

    Assist in financial statements preparation for branch locations
    Help prepare the Gross Margin valuation for the financial statements for specific trading groups such as the market to market valuation of the contracts, futures and inventory for positions
    Facilitate a comprehensive analysis of revenue, expenses and hedges verifying the trading margin for specific products
    Maintain records of fiscal and budgetary controls, ledgers, etc
    Provide assistance and backup for staff and auditors when required and support managers on special projects

Qualifications:
    A university degree, preferably in Accounting, Business or AgEconomics
    Must have or be in the process of gaining designation (CMA/CGA/CA)
    Minimum 1-3+ years’ exposure in an accounting environment
    An agricultural background is an asset
    Have an Interest in understanding contracts, futures and hedging
    Strong communication skills, ability to seek input and support other employees/managers

This position is ideal to develop your skills in the complex and rewarding field of grain accounting.
Begin with basic grain administrative training, followed by increased accounting responsibilities, ultimately leading to a full accounting position.
