Monsanto has an excellent opportunity available for an Administrative Assistant supporting the Canadian Supply Chain team. This dynamic role requires strong administrative experience with day to day operational needs. Excellent communication skills are essential as the job requires interacting with both external and internal associates.

Partner and provide support for department lead and 4 department managers, as well occasional support for 6 department employees in order to better enable the team to achieve business objectives. &nbsp

Arrange meetings and schedule conference calls

Manage travel arrangements, expense travel reports, meeting preparations, and team meeting agendas

Event planning and coordination

Perform diversified administrative support: including filing, copying, mailings, ordering office supplies, processing invoices, and maintaining office equipment

Anticipate and manage calendar schedules and activities with an understanding of general priorities
Handle confidential information
Monitor charges against team budget/cost center via SAP query reports
Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with people on the team and other key stakeholders
Build strong relationships with key contacts
Provide training and guidance on company processes and procedures and share learnings with peers to create synergistic results
Must be able to work well both independently and in a team setting
The Supply Chain team handles the production, quality assurance and logistics of products for 3 distinct business units representing over 1 million+ product units annually. The team is comprised of 55 people across 3 locations and handles domestic as well as international movement of goods.

This role supports the department leadership and employees based at Monsanto Canada??s Head Office in Winnipeg.
Work collaboratively with department AAs located at field locations
The role has a matrix reporting relationship with the Executive Assistant to the Country Lead

Qualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years administrative (or similar) experience
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Ambitious and highly motivated individual
Experience coordinating travel and processing expense reports
Experience with event planning and coordination
Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
Proficiency in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat and Excel software is required, as well as a good working knowledge of SAP
College diploma is required, a university degree would be an asset
