Repsonsible for:   
Accountable for both short term strategic positioning of the fuel sales business in Agri-Products.
This includes the following specific accountabilities: product lines, gross sales and gross margins, pricing, marketing programs, and inventory management. The position will work closely with Market Centre Managers and all sales staff to ensure business objectives are met in each Centre.   

    In conjunction with the Product Line Managers directs and leads the development of the strategic plan for the fuel business in Canada.
    Assists sales staff in the development of sales programs that will achieve their goals.
    Manages the implementation of marketing plans which includes product evaluation, positioning, promotions, advertising, inventory management and outlining expectations for sales, gross margins and pricing.
    Develops and manages supplier relationships, supplier marketing programs and supplier purchase contracts to ensure programs align with Agri-products business plans.
    Oversees order and purchase administration functions for the area of responsibility.
    Participates in developing annual operating and expense budgets for Canadian sales and manages accordingly.
    Collects, interprets, and disseminates market and competitor intelligence.
    Establishes and monitors product cost and retail pricing manuals.
    Monitors and reports on business objectives of geographic areas.
    Provides input on repair or replace decisions on capital assets.
    Ensures regular ongoing maintenance on all assets of the company in the fuel division.
    Provides for effective staff development.
    Makes presentations and ensures staff training for regulatory compliance.
    Facilitates the resolution of customer and product complaints.
    Represents the organization in various industry trade associations relative to the business.
    Performs other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience:
    Good understanding of the agriculture and fuel market
    Demonstrated understanding of sales and marketing of fuel products and services.
    Ability to communicate effectively between written and orally.
    Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and sales force.
    University degree in Agriculture
    Supplemented with three to five years of experience in the fuel industry or equivalent education and experience.
