Qualifications:

Conditions of Employment:
• Registration and Licensure with the Manitoba Pharmaceutical Association.
• Must be in good standing with licensing body.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check – Vulnerable Sector.
• Satisfactory Adult Abuse Registry Check.
• Satisfactory Child Abuse Registry Check.

Pharmacists licensed to practice pharmacy in other Canadian jurisdictions must be eligible for licensure in Manitoba.

Essential Qualifications:
• Completion of a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
• Dispensing experience.
• Knowledge of medications used in Psychiatric Medicine.
• Ability to develop and coordinate the pharmacy services within the Centre.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, guide and develop team members to promote an interdisciplinary resident centered approach to service.
• Supervisory experience.
• Effective oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise sound professional judgement and decision-making within the role as a Pharmacist.
• Demonstrated ability in establishing  and maintaining effective interpersonal relationships across all levels of the organization.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of legislation and regulations regarding dispensing of medication.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Practices.
• Demonstrated proficiency using word processing, spreadsheets and data base programs.

Desired Qualifications:
• Experience preparing budgets and related financial reports.

Duties:

As the Pharmacy Manager, you will be responsible for the administration and operation of the Pharmacy Department.  You will report to the Director of the Extended Care Program and your responsibilities will include developing and controlling the ordering, receiving, storage and precise recording systems as required under legislation and regulations; preparing budgets, purchasing and other related reports. You will manage the clinical pharmacy services which includes interpreting and reviewing prescriptions; dispensing, ordering pharmaceutical products, supervising the preparation of prescriptions; and the interdisciplinary team.  You will assume the role of Professional Practice Leader at the Centre.  Other functions include matters related to continuous quality improvement, program planning and development, education programs, supervision of staff and students and strategic planning activities in tandem with a team approach to service delivery.
