Within Ernst & Young’s Business Tax Advisory- Financial Services Organization practice, we are currently seekingSenior Tax Staff who specialize in the Banking/ Insurance industry, to participate in and supervise multiple and challenging tax consulting engagements and to contribute to the delivery of innovative tax planning ideas for our diverse clients. These positions are in Toronto and offer excellent opportunities for learning and career advancement to the right candidate.

Responsibilities:
Demonstrate an understanding of increasingly complex tax concepts and effectively apply tax knowledge to client situations. Develop and deliver innovative tax compliance products with timely and responsive services and work products that meet and/or exceed client expectations.Maintain continuous interaction with clients, manage expectations and ensure outstanding client service. Team with tax professionals to provide comprehensive tax services.Participate in and contribute to attaining team goals. Thoroughly and accurately analyze information. Prepare practical and creative solutions to the client’s tax situation and arrive at appropriate conclusions.Encourage communication and effectively supervise team members. Make informed decisions in complex and judgmental areas.Contribute to a flexible, stable, and team-oriented working culture that fosters personal development.

To qualify, candidates must have:
* a bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting, finance, or economics
* an accounting designation
* a minimum of 3 years of relevant Canadian tax compliance experience or the equivalent experience in business or industry
* excellent managerial, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills
* a commitment to learning in a tax technology environment
