Position Overview:
Cargill Animal Nutrition (CAN) is looking a Dairy Sales Lead for the Manitoba Business.
This person will be responsible for the overall dairy sales strategy and execution of this strategy for Manitoba. This person will be working with the leadership team to oversee the complete business which is made up of 2 locations, Brandon and St. Boniface.

Principal Accountabilities:
45% - Implement sales/marketing programs to result in dairy growth/profitability at local level.
15% - Provide analysis of external and internal forces; segment profiles, economics/potential of a segment, competitor analysis, and deploys sales strategies for revenue/growth generation.
10% - Coordinate training with Director of Nutrition to ensure that Dairy Focus Consultants have the dairy management and technical skills required to meet producer expectations. This includes but not limited to nutrition, herd health, reproduction, record analysis, cow comfort, parlor management, labor management, feed/forage management and milk quality.
10% - Provide direction for margin management through local pricing with regards to IOMC ($/MT or IOMC/cow/d) or Livestock Solutions (service fee approach). Provide credit limit recommendations to District Finance Team.
10% - Insure value capture of CAN technologies for the region. Partner and align with the CAN Technology, Marketing and Dairy Business Specialist to ensure application of Cargill best practices in the approach to the market.
10% - Accountable for ensuring that CAN resources are leveraged to deliver the 'partner of choice' experience to customers by removing obstacles/barriers to the Dairy Focus Consultants. Lead the Manitoba dairy team and is responsible for talent development and coaching.


Skills:
Required:
  •     4-year degree in Business or Agriculture OR commensurate experience
  •     Minimum of 2-5 years of sales experience
  •     Demonstrated ability to develop a full understanding of the market environment
  •     Possesses the ability to drive collaboration
  •     Demonstrated ability to work on a functional team
  •     Experience in leading a sales team and or talent development
  •     Able to understand and execute on investment strategies and gain expected returns
  •     Strong communication skills both with internal and external customers.
  •     Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada on a non-temporary basis

Preferred:

    6+ years in the dairy industry
