Position Description: As a Dairy Sales Rep, you will work closely on and off farm with producers and industry colleagues to manage accounts and grow new business, achieving a balance between profitability, market share and customer service. You will be a business partner to clients, and will provide advisory services regarding optimal growth and development of their livestock. In addition, you will work directly with administration and production staff internally, to ensure the facilitation of all aspects of order desk administration, production and delivery of feed are timely and accurate.
Qualifications :
Ideal candidate will have a post-secondary education in agriculture or agri-business.
Understanding of dairy nutrition.
Practical dairy experience working on a family or commercial dairy farm or experience in agriculture, customer service and sales.
Strong aptitude for and an interest in business development.
Outgoing personality.
Self-motivated.
Ability to work on a team.
Customer focused sales and follow-up skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Above average computer and writing skills.
Strong communications skills to work closely with farmers.
A valid drivers’ license is required for this role.
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time
Wage Rate:
Base salary commensurate with experience; bonus; health care benefits, health care spending account, RRSP employer matching, and Share Ownership
