E.I. du Pont Canada Company, a major Canadian company and leading supplier of crop protection and canola seed products is currently recruiting for a Grower Account Specialist in the North Battleford, Saskatchewan area.
Grower Account Specialists are responsible for maximizing the DuPont Crop Protection and DuPont Pioneer seed joint sales bundle program and managing agronomic and technical activities with farmers in assigned territories.
Position Responsibilities:
• Establish and maintain a consistent level of commitment to selling DuPont Crop Protection products, services and build relationships with retailers, distributors and farmers.
• Deliver to growers the agronomic and product benefit information to enhance productivity.
• Work with the Retail Account Managers (RAM) to execute the on-farm strategy to deliver the sales as per the district plans.
• Work with RAMs to continue to build the relationship with Seed Account Managers and CP Sales Reps to enhance the joint bundled offering to farmers.
• Manage the end-to-end integrated offer to maximize the penetration and share of the farm acre.
•Promote, sell and service DuPont Crop Protection products and other DuPont products aligned with market strategies.
•Identify customer and geography needs and communicate these needs to Area Sales Manager and Retail Account Managers.
•Coordinate with support groups to transfer needed information to the field distributors, retailers, influencers and DuPont Pioneer employees and their seed agents.
•Maintain a thorough knowledge of associated DuPont Crop Protection products and services.
•Manage key farmer relationships by providing sound agronomic and technical advice on products and farming systems.
Education & Experience:
B.Sc. or advanced degree in natural sciences, agronomy or related science.
Previous sales experience and knowledge of crop protection market desirable.
Must be able to decide how to resolve customer problems to maximize customer satisfaction.
Demonstrated knowledge of environmental, regulatory, and stewardship issues of DuPont crop protection and other competitive products at the local/regional level.
•Negotiating win-win strategies, conflict resolution and handling objections.
•Getting desired results by following agreed upon plans.
•Identifying and using effective methods for collecting, interpreting and communicating market, customer and competitive data.
Demonstrated ability to:
•Clearly communicate with customers and peers.
• Effectively work in a team environment and network with peers.
• Build/maintain strong relationships with customers, key industry/market influencers, DuPont, Pioneer and partners to meet goals within a team environment.
