Plant Project Engineer

JBS Food Canada Inc. is one of the largest Canadian owned and operated beef processor in Canada, with facilities in Alberta. We are currently recruiting a Plant Project Engineer for our Brooks, Alberta facility which has the capacity to harvest more than 4,000 cattle per day.

This position is responsible for a wide variety of duties including: 

    Manage the Capital Expense Request Process; Manage all Capital projects; Manage Cap log system; Maintain CAD System; Maintain building and equipment layouts; Stay updated on technological developments to aid the facility; Interact with Corporate Engineering; Advise and evaluate alternative solutions to plant bottlenecks and disruptions; Work weekends as needed involving projects and responsibilities; Other tasks and assignments within the realm of Corporate and Plant Engineering.

Requirements:

•     Min. 1-3 years Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering experience;
•     Post Secondary is an asset;
•     Experience in Program Logic Controller and related activities;
•     Experience with Capital Project activities;
•     Good communication skills.
