Job Description:
Community Service Assistant 3 supports and assists in the delivery of recreation services through a variety of projects and roles including: planning, promoting, implementing, and hands on delivery of programs. Working as part of a team, the Community Service Assistants will assist in the delivery of recreation services within Parks, Recreation & Culture Department.
Duties: 

• This position is best suited to creative, self-motivated individuals who enjoy working with people in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. 
• Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills are required. 
• A demonstrated passion for promoting and encouraging community involvement and providing leadership in the delivery of active living and social well-being programs is essential. 
• Creativity and ability to work independently are inherent to the position.

Educational Requirements: 
The successful candidate must have:

• Completion of Grade 12 and completion of a post-secondary course in recreation and community development are required.
• Two years related experience working with persons with disabilities.
• A current Standard First Aid certificate
• A Criminal Record Check will be required.
