Cargill Beef has an opportunity available for an Associate HR Professional, located in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. The Associate HR Professional position will be the primary contact and lead for payroll, pension, and benefits issues for all hourly employees at the facility. This role will also be responsible for correct application of the collective agreement, as well as assisting the HR team with various other projects and assignments.
Responsibilities:
60% Oversee and manage the time and attendance of approximately 750 hourly workers on a weekly basis. 10% Utilize Kronos and PeopleSoft to process payroll, job movement, leaves of absence, etc. 10% Maintain and manage hourly employment files 10% Administer benefits and pension (enrollment, changes) 10% Assist with various other core HR functions, for example, recruitment, engagement

Skills:
Required Qualifications

    University degree or College diploma in Human Resources
    At least 1 year of professional HR work experience
    The ability to function in a fast paced environment with little direct supervision
    The ability to interact with other departments and functions to obtain the best business results possible
    A commitment to providing exceptional customer service
    Desire to grow and learn as many functional areas of HR as possible

Preferred Qualifications

    CHRP, or working towards it, is an asset, but not required
    Experience working with time and attendance systems and/or HR systems
    Experience working in a unionized environment
