Qualifications:

    10 years of farm experience with small grains and other cash crops a must
    10 years hands-on livestock experience required
    Bison handling and Bison herd Health a plus
    Bachelor's degree in production agriculture, range management or similar a plus
    Additional training desirable in low stress livestock handling, holistic resource management, ranching for profit, rangeland & monitoring
    Employee management, leadership, communication and direct involvement with others.
    Handle routine maintenance and general repair

Job Description:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is representing this Canadian employer in searching for a Farm/Ranch Manager who will oversee a large scale hay production operation with other forage crops. Farm operation has small grains and other cash crops. Experience with a Large Square Baler is a definite plus, but also use large rounds. Large unit has developed some paddocks for Bison use. Person doesn't need to have a Bison background, but will need at least a solid cow ranch management background with over 10 years hands-on experience. Looking for a Bachelor's degree in production agriculture, range management or similar is a plus. Will be located on a developing unit in southern Manitoba.
