Cargill Grain and Oilseeds Supply Chain's 4,500 tonne per day canola processing plant in Clavet, SK is the largest softseed plant in North America. Saskatchewan accounts for 45 percent of Canadian canola production. The processing facility produces canola oil and specialty canola oils as well as canola meal for the domestic North American and world markets. Canola oil is healthy vegetable oil used in salad oil, frying and processed food applications. Canola meal is a high protein feed product used by the livestock industry. Cargill Grain and Oilseeds Supply Chain North America (GOSCNA) is looking for a Project Accounting Clerk to assist the Project Accountant with managing and tracking all spending associated with a $90 million new construction project in Clavet, SK. The primary role of this position will be to initiate the purchase order and invoice payment processes. In addition, the role will work with the project accountant to ensure proper taxes are assessed and paid, assets are set up properly in the accounting system, and the project is ready to close timely at completion. The position will also provide administrative support to the project team in Clavet and work closely with the project accountant and accounting team. This project is expected to be complete in approximately 1 year, as such, this is a 1 year term position. Principal Accountabilities: 45% - Initiate purchase order process with proper approvals and ensure vendors receive accurate documentation 45% - Review and audit invoices for accuracy, to ensure compliance with existing purchase orders, proper approvals from project team members and timely payments to vendors 10% - Administrative duties including maintaining adequate office supplies, incoming and outgoing mail, support for the project team with administrative requirements, and other miscellaneous office duties as needed
