Overview:
Reporting
to the Plant Admin Supervisor, the Commercial Support Specialist Team
Lead provides key support activities to OPD plants with local commercial
activities such as local oilseed origination, truck meal sales, and
plant logistics coordination. These support roles perform duties such
as commodity purchase settlements, preparation of load orders for
products, seed inventory position verifications, logistics
coordination, and providing service to producers that advance Bunge’s
customer/farmer focus. As Team Lead, this role supervises the
Commercial Support Specialists and other plant administrative roles.
Essential Functions:
•
The Team Lead supervises the Commercial Support Specialists and other
plant administrative roles and acts as a liaison to the Plant Admin
Supervisor.
• Ensure that all plant commodity purchases and
receipts are properly controlled, applied, and settled per the
producer’s intentions.
• Manage and control local commodity
related expenses such as truck freight, contract cancellations, and
other commercial transactions.
• Support the commercial activity
with commodity inventory management, scheduling of seed receipts, and
other local plant logistics.
• Perform local commodity position verifications and key SOX and internal controls as defined.
• Support the production admin. supervisor with daily reporting of production, inventories, and plant KPR’s.
• Assist Financial Shared Services with follow-up on AR collections and disputes.

Assist the office admin. supervisor with local office support functions
such as office equipment, supplies, and local administration of IT
infrastructure (server back-ups, PC Rotations program, time keeping, and
voice systems).
• Facilitate financial balance sheet
reconciliations with the Oakville accounting function for items such as
advances, deferred payments, and other commercial related activity.
•
Coordinate the gathering of documentation requested by various
internal/external audit and SOX activities mainly around commercial
activities.
• Assist with special projects, as required.
Qualifications/Skill Requirements:
• High school or an equivalent GED required.
• 2-5 years of related administration and/or accounting experience.
• Experience or exposure to agribusiness activities and transactions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and collaborative environment.
•
Exposure to using enterprise business applications such as SAP-GTM, SAP
Business Warehouse, or comparable commodity or ERP system.
• Strong end user computing skills e.g. MS Excel, Word. Lotus Notes.
• Versatility, flexibility, and analytical skills are essential.
• Must be able to work overtime, as required.
