Position Overview:
As the IT
Support Business Analyst reporting to the Business Intelligence
Manager, you will be responsible for providing 2nd level support for
business applications and systems by working with the Support Manager
and other members of the IT Support team on initiatives to contribute to
overall improvement of the user experience to help manage and deliver
support as an end-to-end service. You will also act as a liaison between
IT and the business to deliver value added solutions with a focus on
service requests and low rigor operational enhancements to existing
systems that enable Business processes.
Principal Accountabilities:
50%
- Provide 2nd level support for AgHorizons Canada line of business
applications and systems including our ERP (Agrosoft), CRM (SalesLogix),
Agronomics tools (Croplands), and reporting environment tools and
processes. Work with IT and Business support team members on more
complex issues related to applications. Act as an escalation contact
within the Business Unit to follow up on issues not being resolved in a
timely manner, ensuring a positive end-to-end user experience.
35%
- Act as a liaison between different areas of the business and within
the IT department with a focus on service requests and low rigor
operational enhancements. Work with business subject matter experts to
determine and document customer and Business Unit needs, gather
requirements and provide solutions.
15% - Provide
governance and best practice on various activities including: support
communications to the business unit; coordinate spring and fall busy
season activities; work with Support Programmer to govern Transition to
Maintenance; perform the Change Planner role in ITIL Change Management;
manage content (Owner) for the AgHorizons Canada Global IT SharePoint
public site.
Skills:
Required:
Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems or related discipline
3 or more years of experience in an IT Application support role
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada on a non-temporary basis
Preferred:
3 or more years of experience as a Business Analyst
Practical experience using Viatil/Remedy for incident management
Experience supporting any of the following products: Agrosoft,
Croplands, SalesLogix, Actuate, IBM Cognos Impromptu, IBM Cognos
Powerplay
Demonstrated SQL skill
