Hiring for a 1 year contract. You will develop and maintain effective procedures, practices and tools which assist and support the membership experience. The successful candidate must be an energetic, adaptable person with a positive attitude and the ability to multi task.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administer monthly membership renewal process including record check, code of conduct agreement, and renewal and cancellation letters/notifications
- Administer the National Awards Program
- Organize the scholarship process and provide support to the Scholarship Team
- Coordinate the development of department newsletters (3), and coordinate submissions for national publications; Guidepost (electronic) and Canadian Guider (print)
- In collaboration with Marketing and Strategic Alliances department, monitor and maintain the Scholarship, Link, Trefoil Guild and Awards web pages; work with Membership Administration team to maintain the Commissioner's Library webpage
- Monitor and support web based member inquiries
- Assist with the analysis and reporting of the annual membership count
- Meeting management (e.g. organize meetings, prepare meeting material, ensure follow-up on action items, etc)
- Maintain department calendar, operational plan and electronic files
- Prepare updates for the Board of Directors, Executive Committee, networks, members and others as required
- Other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum 2 years of administrative experience
- Graduate of a community college program or comparable education or work experience
- Self starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organization skills and demonstrated experience working under pressure and tight deadlines
- Strong formatting and editing experience
- Demonstrated initiative and attention to detail
- Proficiency with MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Assets: minuting experience, experience working with volunteers within the non-profit or charitable sector, French language skills/fluency, previous experience with databases and/or iMIS
