Our client is a leader in its software offerings. They are seeking immediately an HR Manager / Generalist.
Key accountabilities:
Implement HRIS Great Plains
Provides support to ensure implementation and consistent practice of HR policies and initiatives.
Provides management and employees within with expertise and advice on all HR related matters.
Provide full service recruiting, including posting, screening, assessing and selecting candidates and work with their
preferred recruiting vendor.
Conduct new employee orientations and exit interviews.
Coach and provide guidance to managers of people in order to develop their ability to lead, inspire, and coach their employees and teams.
Respond and implement corporate initiatives, and participates in business unit projects and initiatives that will further the business and HR agenda
Assists in updating corporate policies, procedures and employee guidebook.
Reviews and prepares disciplinary, termination, resignation, lay off and employment offers.
The ideal person:
Exceptionally friendly, pleasant and professional
Essential is 3 - 5 years generalist experience in a fast paced software development environment.
Post secondary education in Human Resources Management coupled with a CHRP designation or similar certification.
Well established expertise in dealing with employee relations matters and providing management coaching, as well as deliver program specific training facilitation.
Knowledge of current labor laws, Human Rights and Employment Standards.
Must have strong time and project management skills, organizational skills, and follow through on multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities, working both collaboratively and independently.
Ability to use sound judgment and maintain confidentiality when necessary.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to communicate complex ideas to a variety of audiences
Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities, and ability to maintain detail-orientation in high-pressure situations
