Job Description
Job Summary:
The Manager, Marketing Strategy & Planning will be responsible for researching, planning, and executing strategic initiatives within the Marketing department, including conducting strategic reviews, preparing business cases, facilitating strategy sessions, and recommending solutions to marketing problems. The incumbent will possess an excellent balance of analytical and communication skills (i.e. a poet and a quant).
Job Responsibilities:
Facilitate strategic discussions with key decision makers within Marketing, identify potential strategic initiatives and actions, perform feasibility studies and assist with the implementation of resulting efforts
Apply financial and statistical techniques to identify key business drivers and to derive business cases around scenarios, risks, and options on behalf of the Marketing department
Develop and/or coordinate internal reports and presentations aimed at audiences such as the Marketing Leadership team, the Executive Team, and Executive Committee
Develop trusted relationships with key decision makers at all levels within Marketing and other areas of the business
Conduct ongoing market assessments and analyze competitive dynamics and trends in current and potential marketing initiatives
Conduct strategic reviews across the marketing department on various matters as assigned
Interface with the Marketing Leadership team to present insights on current business conditions and future opportunities
Monitor and provide recommendations on Marketing performance and key performance indicators

Requirements:
Previous experience in facilitating and/or developing strategic marketing plans
Advanced spreadsheet modeling skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Experience with database applications, automated reporting solutions and devising ways to extract data from many sources and translate this data into useful information.
Strong command of advanced marketing analytical concepts (i.e. Return on Marketing Investment, Internal Rate of Return, Economic Profit/Value Added, etc.)
Ability to balance several conflicting demands to achieve optimum services performance with minimum disruption to business operations
Proficiency with office automation software (MS Office Suite)
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in marketing, preferably in an analytical capacity
Masters of Business Administration (MBA) or 5 years of professional experience in strategic marketing.
CFA/CA/CMA designation desirable
