Role Summary/Purpose: Looking for a Senior Engineer with 10+ years of experience in the wellhead industry. Strong familiarity with API 6A, SAGD, and wellhead design. Strong Knowledge of ISO quality programs. Responsible for producing designs, models, drawings and bills of materials. Providing mentorship to young engineers. Ensuring products are produced in compliance with industry and company standards and policies.This job may involve supervisory responsibilities on a project-by-project basis.
Essential Responsibilities: Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Interpret customer requirements and apply industry, company standards and regulatory requirements to provide designs, and technical documentation.
Check and approve work performed by engineering technicians, designers, and engineers to verify compliance with customer and regulatory requirements, industry specifications and company standards.
Evaluate customer product complaints and technical inquiries and provide required reports and feedback; investigate and provide corrective actions for product non-conformances.
Disposition manufacturing non-conformances and supplier concession requests.
Produce engineering documents such as, part models, assemblies, layouts, drawings, bills of materials, specifications, procedures and sales literature applying design information consistent with company and industry standards.
Liaise with and supply technical information and support to other departments.
Acquire and maintain familiarity with relevant industry specifications (API, ASME, ASTM, CSA, IRP, ISO and NACE) and applicable government codes and regulations.

Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (Engineering or related field) or diploma in engineering or related field; or ten years plus of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Individual must be able to:

  •     Read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.
  •     Write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  •     Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups or managers, clients, customers and the general public.
  •     Apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.
  •     Apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory and factor analysis
  •     Apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
  •     Deal with nonverbal symbolism in its most difficult phases and a variety of variables.
  •     Furnish instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  •     Visualize two-dimensional representations of objects in three dimensions
    Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
  •  Desired Characteristics: Intermediate computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office. Proficiency in ProE and AutoCAD or related solid modeling and drafting software.Knowledge of methods of manufacturing. P.Eng with APEGGA.
