The Canadian Banking Leadership Program aims to develop future leaders in Canadian Banking at RBC. It is a unique, accelerated leadership development program that offers opportunity to experience a number of different areas within Canadian Banking Head Office.

Program description:
Ø A two-year leadership development program that provides experience in and exposure to Canadian Banking business groups in Head Office and Commercial Banking
Ø CBLP Associates will be placed in six month assignments and may occur in any of the following groups:
o Personal Financing Products
o Business Financial Services
o Branch Investments, Deposits, and Direct Investing
o Marketing & Channel Strategy
o Canadian Banking Strategy
o Cards & Payment Solutions
o Canadian Banking Operations
o Sales Strategy & Effectiveness
o Commercial Banking
Ø These assignments may entail such opportunities as developing strategy, managing a project from start to finish, conducting research, analyzing research and developing recommendations, and exposure to clients.
Ø Associates will also benefit from one-to-one mentoring by executives for the duration of the program. Upon completion, Associates build their careers with RBC in areas of Canadian Banking’s Head Office where their interests, skills and leadership capability can be best leveraged for organizational impact.
What you’ll need to succeed:
MBA with minimum four years full-time, continuous work experience in any industry
Track record of leadership and excellence in academic and extracurricular activities
Strong interest in the financial services industry
Proven client service orientation
Learning agility and genuine openness to a broadening experience
Ability to achieve results in the context of complexity, ambiguity and constant change
Strong business acumen
Creativity and innovation
Outstanding collaborative ability
Strong leadership capability including strategic, multi-dimensional and critical thinking
Strong financial, analytical and decision making skills
Genuine desire to manage and lead others to achieve outstanding results
Willingness to take a short-term assignment in Commercial Banking within or near the Greater Toronto Region

This is a program designed for individuals with strong leadership capability and a willingness to build breadth of knowledge and experience in Canadian Banking at RBC. Candidates with career aspirations within a specific business or function at RBC should explore programs and roles relevant to those areas.
Only candidates graduating 2013/2014 may apply. Start date is Spring/Summer 2014 (dependent upon candidate availability). Candidates must complete their MBA by that time.
