We are looking for a Human Resources Coordinator to work in the Global People Shared Services in Toronto. The coordinator will spend approximately 60% time supporting the Assurance Talent People Team and 40% supporting other HR activities within People Shared Services.The HR Coordinator is the first point of contact responsible for answering inquiries from staff members regarding human resources policies and processes. The Coordinator also handles other coordination/ administrative tasks in support of national processes such as firm-wide orientation and staff service awards. The HR Coordinator’s work is generally determined and managed by his/her supervisor and includes performing transactions, coordinating events, data entry, records management, and other HR processes. This role will involve significant interaction with employees and other HR clients.

Responsibilities:
Specifically, the successful candidate will:
* Provide general Human Resources support by serving as the first point of contact for employees, managing or escalating issues as necessary;
* Answer routine questions for managers and employees, and assist with problem solving;
* Proactively relays potential employee/partner service issues to the Supervisor and/or Leader;
* Enter new employee information into computer database, working closely with Payroll and Information Services;
* Administer the employee departure process, including conducting exit interviews, providing departing employees with pertinent and accurate information, and completing GHRS and related transactions;
* Create and maintain all necessary personnel files;
* Assist Human Resources team with implementation and communication of major people processes including performance management, compensation and recruiting.
* Responds to general HR queries from employees through the EYHR Helpline (email and phone);
* Conduct new employee orientations and presentations, and ensure all necessary forms and documents are completed and returned;
* Create and maintain all necessary personnel files;
* Provides coordination/administrative support for other national processes such as orientation (e.g. materials, scheduling, presenting), service awards coordination, and compliance (e.g. Institute Processes).
* Maintains the appropriate level of process knowledge, customer satisfaction, and quality metrics. Utilizes all available knowledge sources, procedures and tools.
* Assists in updating procedures and policy documents on the firm sites.
* Helps with special projects as necessary

Education:
A Bachelor’s degree or a certificate in Human Resources (or a related field). Equivalent experience will also be considered.

Experience:
1 years experience in Human Resources, office administration, and/or records management preferred

* Strong communication and listening skills

* Strong PC proficiency including MS word, Excel and PowerPoint
* Ability to learn new applications and techniques quickly and effectively
