BASF Canada, a leader in the global markets of chemical manufacturing and distribution has an immediate opportunity for a contributing team player in Western Canada for a Regional Innovation Specialist Sales Manager Join BASF Canada as part of our Crop Protection Group. Be an integral part of a very dynamic environment and work with us to provide leadership and direction to the dedicated sales staff in our Agricultural team. Reporting to the Innovations Specialist Manager / Regional Sales Manager, the primary role of this position is to implement through a sales force, the marketing strategies and tactics for all BASF brands. Your assignments will also include, but not be limited to the following: Developing district and territory sales plans to maximize sales and market share in the geographic area of responsibility.
Developing, training and leading the Innovations Specialists team to support current and introduce new technologies and solutions to grower customers.
Fostering and leading change management within the Innovation Specialists team
Gathering and communicating market intelligence and competitive activities to staff
Supporting innovation in agriculture at field level.
The Regional Innovation Specialist Sales Manager will also be accountable for team selling strategy to grower customers; achievement of Product on Ground sales targets; as well as performance and development of all assigned staff.
Qualifications:
University degree in Agriculture or Business – related field.
Minimum 4 years’ work experience in field sales followed by direct supervisory experience.
Experience selling to growers in Western or Eastern Canada and the ability to initiate, develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships.
Leadership experience with the ability to lead and coach a group of motivated and passionate sales staff.
Strong understanding of crop development and the use of products to enhance production.
Proven track record and desire to drive business for customer, corporate and personal success.
Self-directed, motivated and has a desire to win while developing the business.
Willingness to relocate in Ontario, US or Europe to further career opportunities in a few years..
