Cargill Value Added Meats – Foodservice operates a chicken processing plant in London, ON, a hatchery in Jarvis, ON, and ground beef processing facilities in Brampton, ON, and Spruce Grove, AB employing approximately 1200 employees.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible to provide clerical assistance to the Boning Department on both shifts within the London plant. This position will handle the daily staff scheduling, kronos corrections, production reporting and document administration, compilation and administration of training documents and the training matrix, organization of off line inspection and repackaging. You will also assist the hourly workforce with inquiries and tasks related to vacation scheduling, supply requests and channeling/documentation of maintenance requests.
Principal Accountabilities:
20% Complete staff scheduling for daily and overtime task assignment
20% Liase with hourly staff for sundry and supply requirements, vacation planning
20% Various misc. clerical and planning activities
15% Complete Kronos and staff labour tracking
15% Oversee planning and documentation of daily work & rework (WIP, FSI inspection, defect inspection, repack traceability
10% Review and completion of daily paperwork

Skills:
Required:
Completion of a high-school diploma
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment / chicken processing
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to work 10am to 7pm
Previous clerical or administrative experience
Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada on a non-temporary basis 
Preferred:
Some college or University education
Familiarity with production planning and a manufacturing environment
Production leadership experience
Experienced using Kronos
Experienced working in a unionized environment
