Reporting directly to the Director of Quality, this position is that of Manager, Quality. In this role, the Quality Manager will represent the company when dealing with the customers; will be responsible for quality management and satisfying the customer and legal authorities’ requirements. The Quality manager will also be responsible for planning, organizing, supervising and providing motivation to hourly and salaried employees. The Quality manager will assume a key role in all improvement projects, customer and quality initiatives within the business unit.The role also includes the responsibility of Supplier Compliance, so that we ensure that our suppliers’ products meet the requirements of our quality and engineering systems.
In your role, you will:
- Supervise and coach the attached Quality team and ensure timely activity, integration and efficient use of time and resources to meet requirements
- Define objectives requirements, scope and establish appropriate metrics for measuring key criteria, controlling and tracking objective schedules
- Manage objectives within the constraints of scope, quality, time, change management and cost, to deliver specified requirements and meet customer satisfaction
- Liaise with sponsor and/or customer including Authorities
- Establish or confirm applicable quality guidelines
- Facilitate communication as appropriate to all stakeholders
- Organize and promote company wide quality improvement efforts
- Lead team and collaborators (multi-sites if applicable) through problem solving to find the problem root cause in order to solve it efficiently
- Influence Operations to endorse the Quality directives, in accordance with the strategy implemented
Qualifications:
As our ideal candidate,
- You hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Administration/Engineering and 10 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Lean Six-Sigma and Project Management Experience are a strong asset
- You are goal orientation and action-focused, self-disciplined
- You have a proven track record in team mobilization and engagement
- You possess strong client facing skills and ability to manage a development team
- Communication, leadership and a high level of organizational skills are essential elements
- You have experience planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting on activities
- You have very strong inter-personal skills and be committed to support the operations in meeting their aircraft delivery objectives
- Creativity and innovation are required to always find new preventive and new management measures that take into consideration the BA objectives
- You have a knowledge of the Airworthiness Standards and Regulations (TCCA/FAA/JAA)
