Key Business Accountabilities
Develop effective relationships with Canadian leaders and employees as well as Human Resources (HR) business partners in St. Louis
Gain a clear understanding of current and future business strategies in order to assist in the execution of effective people strategies.
Apply appropriate HR skills to effectively solve business and people issues
Act as a coach/consultant to leaders including providing guidance on employee relations issues
Ensure effective application of all HR processes recommending change where appropriate
Facilitation of meetings and training sessions
Coordinate people reviews, key talent reviews and succession planning meetings
Monitor strategies that have been developed to accelerate development of key talent and successor candidates
Work with employees and leaders to maintain talent information via Development & Performance Central
Use data from multiple sources (e.g., Development & Performance Central, Organizational Survey data, Performance data, and Leadership surveys) to develop insights and make recommendations that may improve engagement, productivity and leadership
Leverage Talent Management Team and Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness (LOE) Team so that Canada HR delivers development programs, coaching, and experiences designed to increase talent depth (individual, team-based, leader-based and organizational).
Scope of the Job:
The HR Generalist/Talent Management Specialist is part of a team of HR professionals responsible for providing comprehensive HR programs and expertise to the Canadian business.
The incumbent will work closely with people leaders by providing HR expertise as well as ensuring compliance with laws, policies and procedures. The incumbent will provide support on all HR matters, including but not limited to compensation, benefits and employee relations.
The incumbent will also partner with the Talent Management and the Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness teams to ensure programs and initiatives originating in these areas are effectively delivered to the Canadian business
Qualifications:
Core Business/Functional Skills and Education
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related field
Minimum 8 years HR experience with experience in talent development, organization development, or succession planning strongly preferred
Knowledge of multi-provincial HR laws and policies
Knowledge of functional human resources disciplines, including talent acquisition, learning and development, HR planning, performance management, and compensation and benefits
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong business acumen
Ability to establish trust and a reputation for discretion and sound judgment and advice
Ability to leverage centralized corporate resources as applicable
Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Ability to work comfortably and influence all levels of the organization and effectively collaborate in a highly matrixed environment
Ability to travel approximately 20%
