This long term/permanent, full-time position is a member of the Repair and Maintenance crew in the Peace River area (including Rycroft, Alberta – Southwest of Rycroft off Highway 2; Dawson Creek, British Columbia – 10684 213 Road; and High Level, Alberta – 11601 9th Street) with responsibility for the repair and maintenance of grain handling and crop input equipment and facilities. Specific responsibilities include maintaining equipment and systems such as conveyors, grain cleaners, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Other duties include read and interpret drawings and diagrams; inspect, troubleshoot and investigate malfunctions; and repair equipment and parts.
Five years relevant trade experience required. Training towards trade certification. Must be mechanically inclined; have strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills; be detail-oriented with demonstrated accuracy and possess excellent customer service skills. An agricultural background or knowledge of grain handling equipment would be an asset.
This position requires physical efforts such as straining, pulling, lifting and standing. Exposure to elements such as noise, grain dust, cold or hot temperatures. Some overtime, evenings or weekends may be required. Wage range $28 - $33 per hour.
