We are seeking a self starting individual with strong communication skills to join our Information Systems department as a Business Intelligence Analyst. As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will work under the guidance of the Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to design, develop, and support new and existing Business Intelligence Dashboards. You will also provide analytic services for the business as well as ad hoc data requests.

Ideally you will have:

• Post-secondary level IS related diploma or degree
• Hands on data analysis experience with strong SQL skills
• Solid understanding of data warehouse
• Solid communication skills for explaining concepts and processes to end-users
• Strong business acumen and ability to facilitate exploratory discussions with business representatives to derive key business questions and drivers
• Solid understanding of relational and dimensional modeling and ability to design and document such data models
• Ability to multi-task and work on simultaneous projects while maintaining multiple and competing priorities
• Understanding and working knowledge of systems development processes and methods
• Ability to think creatively and design dashboards that intuitively provide answers to key questions before they are asked

Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

• Design and create highly engaging BI solutions through consideration of business requirements and customer feedback
• Work directly with customers to determine primary questions and Key Performance Indicators to be represented within dashboards
• Work with customers and the Arc’teryx development team to determine necessary data sources to meet dashboard requirements
• Work with the Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to prioritize and estimate new dashboard initiatives
• Develop and maintain detailed technical specifications for dashboards and reports
• Document and maintain key business process workflows pertinent to dashboard development
• Respond to various data requests by business via refreshable Excel, SQL data extracts/dumps, or Qlikview additions as appropriate
• Present dashboards to customers, project team, and management for review and feedback
• Follow and provide input on dashboard development methods and standards as defined by the Arc’teryx development team:
• Provide second line dashboard support to end users when necessary
