This is a hands on role on a high performing team that is leading the next wave in cloud-based applications that complements our existing solutions. The Release Engineer will be responsible for defining, implementing and maintaining the Veeva Network build and release process.

Responsibilities:
Own build/release activities for the Veeva Network product stack; Define and document the end-to-end release process

 Maintenance of code repository
 Work with Software and QA Engineers ensuring build requirements are met for daily operations (eg: daily builds, continuous integration, code quality metrics)

 Work with Operations team during release management activities

 Work with Software Engineers, Product Managers, and QA Engineers in an Agile team environment

Requirements:

•  5+ years of software Build/Release working experience
•  Solid understanding SDLC and Release Management
•  Strong knowledge of Java or other object oriented programming languages
•  Working experience with databases such as Oracle, Mysql, MSSql or other
•  Working experience with Linux and related scripting languages
•  Working experience with Build and Continuous Integration tools such as Maven and Jenkins
•  Creative & ambitious person with a passion for excellence
•  Strong interpersonal, relationship building/relationship management and facilitation skills
•  Bachelors degree in Engineering, Math, Computer Science or equivalent

Nice to have:
 Experience in SaaS based Enterprise Software
 Experience with Atlassian products such as JIRA and Greenhopper is an advantage
 Pharma life sciences industry experience
