POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide Human Resources generalist functions in support of Bunge Canada’s Alberta and BC plant locations and sales offices. Such services will focus on providing a business partnership and helping these locations maximize productivity, improve employee retention and morale and minimize legal risks to the company. CORE FUNCTIONS:
Guide Bunge Canada leadership in its management of the full range of Human Resources matters that arise in sales office and plant operations. Such guidance would include, but not be limited to, policy and procedure implementation; development of appropriate corrective action for violations of company policies and procedures as well as violations of federal and provincial laws and regulations; and coaching, training and development of local management and staff personnel.
Work closely with Bunge North America’s Legal Department and, at the direction of BNA Legal and the Director of Human Resources, outside counsel to respond to legal affairs affecting Bunge Canada.
Assist the management team of Bunge Canada in developing appropriate performance development or corrective action for the company’s employees.
Assist in the development of plant and office staffing, including sourcing candidates, recommending salaries and increases, and securing internal or external development resources, as needed.
Collaborate with local management to develop an HR plan to support delivery of the business goals.
Complete investigations as necessary regarding employee complaints
Provide guidance for employees when they have questions
Facilitate training workshops as required
Manage the HR database and HRIS system for region supported
Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Secondary degree in related field preferred, HR designation strongly preferred
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and software programs
Good written and verbal communication skills
At least 3-5 years of Human Resources experience
SCHEDULE:
Normal office hours, five days per week
Some overtime or weekend duties may be required
Willingness and ability to travel to various plant locations approximately 50% of the time however overnight travel should not exceed 25% is a requirement
