In your role, you will,
- Be responsible for the aircraft configuration control planning and management for the new Global 7000/8000 aircraft program in support of the technical publications activities.
- Provide documentation and configuration management in support of customized aircraft configurations and related technical publications as per S1000D specification.
- Assist in the development of department technical specifications and processes.
- Assist the Management Team by ensuring that aircraft configurations are tracked and maintained in a Common Source Database (CSDB), with a supporting XML authoring environment.
- Ensure that customer commitments and deliverables are met.
- Plan and manage relationship between the product’s part/assemblies (bill of material and configuration), the DMRL (data module requirement list) and the relevant text/graphics that comprise the S1000D content.
- Liaise/communicate with different departments to obtain or provide information, to ensure that Technical Publications has the necessary program information and resources to support configuration control.
- Create and maintain bookplan and CSDB data sanity.
- Ensure complete alignment of customer-specific publication content based on applicabilities directly derived from product structure effectivities, as well as from engineering source data.
- Provide assistance and guidance to Management in the planning and scheduling of departmental work with regards to maintaining aircraft configuration.
- Contribute to a continuous improvement culture, by developing and implementing enhancements based on lean manufacturing/office concepts.
Qualifications:
As our ideal candidate,
- You hold a Technical College diploma in aerospace or related field.
- You have a minimum of five (5) to eight (8) years experience in aerospace sector.
- You have developed experiences in managing projects and/or configuration control within the aerospace sector.
- You are customer and client oriented.
- You have planning & analytical skills, preferably in a technical publications environment.
- You have experience in database query language (for example, SQL).
- You have effective communication skills (writing and verbal), English /French
- You have effective team work skills.
- You are highly organized, with strong ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- You have effective problem solving and decision-making skills.
- You are familiar with MS Office.
- You have experience in S1000D specification and XML/CSDB environment (strong asset)
