Bell Business Markets provides a vast array of communications solutions for small, medium, and large organizations. These include managed data and network solutions, cloud computing, conferencing, Web, security solutions and integrated information and communications technology (ICT) services.
The Enterprise Sales –Retail and Distribution manages customer relations and business development for Canada and also, in USA.
Strong leadership, political aptitudes and negotiation skills, exceptional business direction and highly polished presentation skills are critical for managing customer relations at the executive level.
As projects of this complexity often result in political uncertainty on the part of the customer, the selected candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative service strategies adapted to the company’s complex needs. He will also be responsible for achieving objectives, and must take an autonomous approach to managing his team as he guides it toward achieving the business plan for Retail and Distribution.
The selected candidate must demonstrate strong capabilities in team management, coaching, and mobilization.
This complex mandate requires constant team work with internal Bell’s teams that deliver day to day services to customers. The selected candidate will have to mobilize all teams around customer business objectives and work closely with each of them.
Job Duties/Accountabilities:
Manage a team of sales professionals who generate millions in revenues annually.
Guide the team in rallying Bell’s various operational groups and partners (existing or yet to be established) with respect to pre-sales, developing and structuring solutions, and proposing and selling these solutions.
Act as prime contractor to deliver customers the profitable services and solutions their clienteles require and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction with Bell.
Ensure that Bell team and management is involved on an ongoing basis with the management teams of Retail and Distribution you are responsible for so as to develop long-term, win-win relationships with this customer.
Establish your team members’ mandates, objectives and responsibilities.
Guide the team toward achieving or surpassing established objectives by assisting team members in recommending winning solutions or preparing bids.
Establish an efficient management infrastructure within the team: follow-up on key indicators, regular follow-up meetings, year-end revenue forecasts updated on a monthly basis.
Create and manage efficient virtual customer teams (pre-sales and after-sales).
Guide the immediate and extended teams with respect to strategic issues with Bell’s competitive context.
Oversee the feasibility study and establish the business case, including the financing agreement, as required (fixed assets and expenditures).
With help from partner teams, ensure that your team obtains the products / services (internally or externally) required to deliver a solution.
Negotiate partnership agreements (external) and specific improvements to be made to the solutions in order to ensure that needs are met.
Ensure prompt resolution of any customer problems in order to demonstrate the Bell representative’s sense of responsibility to the customer.
Take responsibility for financial follow-up: project-related investments and expenditures (cost of merchandise sold).
Manage resource and expense budgets and ensure that the teams observe company policy with respect to expenditures.
Provide support to the team regarding escalation to the next hierarchical level.
Assign and re-assign resources based on market, customer, employee and Bell shareholder needs.
Develop and implement plans aimed at increasing employee satisfaction and achieving Employee Value Index (EVI) objectives.

Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
University degree; bachelor’s degree or higher Degree
At least ten years of professional experience at Bell Canada
At least three years’ experience managing a team of sales professionals
Solid knowledge of the culture of the outsourcing industry, of its inherent issues and of how it operates
Experience in managing the sales cycle, including the steps involved in prospecting, qualifying, recommending, signing and implementing complex solutions
Proven experience in personnel management
Solid knowledge of Bell’s voice/data transmission offers and emerging solutions (VAS – TIC)
Knowledge of revenue and cost management
Excellent skills with respect to negotiating, making presentations, conducting analyses and summarizing information
Strong team spirit and ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and multiple projects
Experience in matrix management of multiple groups, in order to provide customers with an end-to-end experience
Proven ability to build effective relationships with partners and customers
