We are looking for recent Engineering (Civil preferred) or equivalent graduates to start a challenging and rewarding career building the future of Manitoba.

Qualifications:

Essential Criteria:
- Experience in soil and/or field surveys.
- Experience in field inspections with lab/materials testing/inspection.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Leadership skills.
- Ability to be a team player.
- Decision making skills.
- Planning, organizing and follow-up skills.

Desired Criteria:
- Other Engineering related education and training that would benefit an Engineering occupation.
- Experience in design.

The successful candidate must hold an undergraduate degree in Engineering (preferred Civil) or equivalent qualifications recognized by APEGM and must possess a valid certificate of enrollment as a Member-in-Training from APEGM (or be eligible).

The successful candidate must possess a valid class 5.0 Driver’s licence and be able to work in an outdoor, rough terrain environment in winter/summer, with possible exposure to hazards as described in OSHRM Safe Work Practices. They must be able to travel frequently to work sites within the province by ground and air transportation and be willing to work occasional extended hours or periods of time as project demands.

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Duties:
The objective of this position is to develop the incumbent into a Project Engineer (EG2).  Following successful completion of Manitoba Infrastructure and Transportation’s EIT Development Program and upon receiving your professional designation, you will be eligible for promotion to the Engineer 2 level.
