Job Description:
· Plant and care for trees
· Fertilize and spray crops
· Harvest crops · Assist in pruning shrubs and plants
· Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
· Detect disease and health problems in crops
· Examine produce for quality and prepare for market which includes bagging, boxing, palletizing, and wrapping in a cold room (0-2 degrees C), and Loading pallets on a truck
· Write daily basic progress reports
· Cleaning and sanitizing equipment, floors, and walls · Washing and sanitizing seed · Spreading seed in grow bins · Monitoring environmental and sanitary conditions · Meticulously recording data in HACCP logs · Mow grass and other yard work on the farm · Removing waste
Requirements:
-Education: Not required
-Experience: Experience an asset
Salary: $12.00 to $14.00 Hourly, 40.00 Hours per week
Other: We produce bean sprouts in a 5000 square foot facility growing in dark rooms. Hard Physical Work and Highly Repetitive.
