Technical Services Representative – Green Solutions Team Key Responsibilities: Located in Guelph, ON and reporting to the Director of Environmental Science, you will be the principal focus and contact for the direction of technical service activities and the transition of new products and uses from Development to Marketing and Sales.
You will provide assistance to the sales teams by organizing and/or presenting technical information on our products, coordinating and conducting product demonstration sites and research, maintaining effective supportive relationships with key cooperators/influencers (COI), maintaining academia recommendations for our products, assist in product complaints, product training and supporting other sales activities necessary to optimize the marketing of our products.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the sales force and provide technical expertise to pull sales through the distribution chain by providing information that can be utilized by both end users and distribution sales representatives.
Support Key Accounts through the presentation of technical information, product and program recommendations and by establishing themselves as a key resource for key end user accounts.
Ensure sales and marketing team is kept informed of any technical changes in product labels, pests, efficacy data and other technical issues.
Review data, product positioning, targeted support and communication with sales personnel, distributors, and end-users by generation of technical materials, technical sheets, and be readily available as a technical resource.
Work with the Marketing Managers (MM’s), Sales Managers and Product Development Managers (PDM’s) to prepare and provide most appropriate Bayer presentations. When and where appropriate, represent Bayer ES at technical seminars, provincial association meetings, industry conferences and scientific meetings.
Fully contribute to the right positioning of the new products by exchanging field performance data and other agronomical observations with Marketing. Recommend label adjustments to place the new products in the best conditions to fulfill customer expectations.
Capitalize on new product launches through a series of well prepared and utilized demonstration plots. Involve and interact with the sales team to get the highest impact of those demonstration plots to the key customers.
Collaborate with MM’s, (PDM’s and FDRs (USA based), and Sales team to make sure objectives of technical support projects are understood and resources (funding, supplies, equipment, etc.) as well as requirements are made available to meet the objectives.
Results, Reporting and Utilization: Monitor the progress of tech service projects and follow-up on distribution of the results to the proper channels so they can be developed properly by Marketing, PDM’s, and Sales for product sales support or market development.
Write or facilitate the development of support literature such as ‘What’s Up’ in consultation with TSM’s, PDMs and FD.
