POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Education Program Coordinator position will assist Synthesis clients with developing and delivering a variety of education and training programs in the food and agriculture sector.

    This position will be responsible for co-ordinating the development of education and training programs from concept through to delivery and evaluation
    In most cases, this role will work in support of the Client Director who will be leading a particular client assignment or Synthesis education program

The position will include the following functions:

    Co-ordinating the delivery of training programs including organizing content, preparing training material and overall project management
    Co-ordinating subject matter experts / presenters required for various education programs (for both in-person or on-line training formats)
    Promoting Synthesis or client education programs through attendance at conferences and tradeshows, making presentations and using social media
    Project management including co-ordinating various tasks to be completed by internal staff or outside services providers
    Providing clients with regular project status update reports
    Staying current on issues and trends impacting the food and agriculture sector

This position will require some travel to attend client meetings, conferences/tradeshows, education programs and other events. Employee will need access to reliable transportation.

One year contract position.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

-University degree or college diploma with a specialization in an education or agriculture related field is required
-Experience in developing education or training programs, either in-person or on-line formats, is required
-General knowledge of the food and agriculture sector is required
-Experience using project management tracking software is an asset
