Director, Business Excellence
Reporting to the Vice President, Marketing and Business Development, and located in Calgary, AB, this position is responsible for the supervision and direction related to all aspects of the Business Excellence function in Canada. This includes Market Research and Competitive Intelligence, CRM, Business Analytics, Rebate Fulfilment, Trait License Management (including 3rd Parties) as well as Marketing IT system management.
Key Responsibilities:
Coach and develop a diverse group of technical experts in order to meet and exceed the evolving marketing and sales service requirements.
Ensure marketing IT systems, projects and required enhancements are prioritized and managed appropriately, and in compliance with Bayer standards (GISC).
Support local interests and requirements within the Global Business Intelligence and Marketing and Sales Excellence communities on an ongoing basis..
Support the Global Pricing Excellence initiative in Canada by acting as local Pricing Champion and lead the planning and execution of the Grower Advisory Forum for the Canadian Management Committee
Lead the evolution and ongoing execution of a comprehensive strategic plan for Business Excellence in Canada in the immediate through five year windows.
Work closely with key stakeholders in the business to ensure marketing services and insight generation are of the highest caliber, and support both short and long term strategies.
Lead and direct external service providers to define processes and manage service level agreements and to maintain good working relationships with these vendors on behalf of Bayer.
Manage market research providers and projects to ensure maximum impact and value to Bayer through sourcing, execution, interpretation and dissemination of information.
Determine and implement an appropriate balance of syndicated and proprietary market research studies based on budget and business need with primary and secondary partners.
Qualifications:
Degree in Business, Agriculture or relevant area of study
Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience, particularly in managing teams responsible for managing complex administrative processes
Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, influence and direct a diverse range of internal and external individuals and groups.
Ability to manage and simplify complex processes while maintaining accuracy and high quality standards in a process.
Ability to work in a technical environment and ensure the successful completion of multiple projects simultaneously.
Demonstrated understanding and insight on grower, retail and distribution networks
