Market Development Specialist - Southern Saskatchewan/Parkland
Position Overview:
Located in Southern Saskatchewan/Parkland (Regina, Yorkton) and reporting to the Market Development Manager, the Market Development Specialist is responsible for the design, implementation and execution of field scale trials and sales support programs. The successful candidate will ensure the optimal positioning and value extraction of BCS innovation both from Crop Protection and Seeds portfolios and pipelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting BCS strategies by delivering superior agronomic advice for our partners in distribution, growers and internal sales teams.
Providing direct technical support for sales reps via:
New product training
Demonstration Strip Trials
Field demonstrations
Local data summaries
Customer presentations.
Supporting additional crop solutions and product positioning, together with Development, Sales and Marketing.
Developing and maintaining extensive working relationships with all areas of the business
Qualifications:
Degree in Agriculture
One of: Professional Agrologist designation, Certified Crop Science Consultant designation, or eligible to join the Institute of Agrologists
Minimum 3 years’ experience in Agronomy, Crop Protection or related field
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are also required
Valid driver’s license is a requirement
Flexibility to meet seasonal job requirements, including occasional travel
