JOB PROFILE:We are seeking a Poultry Nutrition Research Scientist to join our R&D team in Guelph, Ontario. Nutreco Canada Agresearch has excellent multispecies animal research facilities, research laboratories and significant collaboration with external industry and University partners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Lead basic and applied poultry research including literature review, protocol design, data analysis, interpretation and reporting;
    Participate in cross-species and cross-functional research teams;
    Forge highly-competitive external R&D collaborations;
    Maintain and build a network of professional contacts through participation in industry and scientific associations.

PREFERRED HIRING CRITERIA:

•     PhD. in poultry or animal science/nutrition.
•     Research experience in quantitative poultry nutrition (modeling experience an asset) and/or health, including industry experience;
•     Feed formulation knowledge;
•     Self –motivated with good organization/planning skills;
•     Ability to build, motivate and participate effectively in research project teams; a demonstrated ability to successfully execute complex research studies;
•     A proven track record of excellent oral and technical writing skills; strong experimental design, statistical analysis and computer (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint) skills are required;
•     Bilingualism (English/French) would be an asset;
•     Eligibility for an NSERC Industrial Research & Development Fellowship Award.
