We have an immediate contract opening until December 31, 2014 for a: Virtual Sales Representative Located at a Bayer office in Western Canada or wherever the successful candidate is located, and reporting to the Key Customer Strategy Manager, you will be responsible for developing a Bayer relationship with selected B -segment growers. This will involve defending and growing the BCS market position with lapsed and new growers, as well as developing deeper loyalty to the BCS brand. Your role will also include improving grower understanding of the Bayer Portfolio and BayerValue Grower Programs
Responsibilities:
- Grow and protect sales of Bayer CropScience products and provide Product Support Services to the targeted Key Customer Segment.
- Generate sales leads as well as closing sales online or via phone interaction.
- Utilize inbound/outbound calls to pursue sales of Bayer CropScience product.
- Develop Key Customer account penetration strategies.
- Responsible for understanding product offerings, competitive issues and identify new business opportunities.
- Liase and collaborate with Territory Sales Managers, Regional Sales Managers and the Customer Strategy Team for the purpose of managing the customer relationship, identify new sales opportunities in order to sell Bayer CropScience product.
- Act as technical support “in season” through the Product Support Centre and to aid with technical support during the off season.
- Post-secondary education in related field. Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Business or Marketing preferred.
- Demonstrated sales aptitude; assertive, persistent, good listener, self-motivated, excellent closing skills
- Excellent oral and written communication and customer relations skills
- Well organized with, highly effective time and activity management skills.
