JOB PROFILE:
Reporting to Director, Finance, the Manager, Finance will be a key member of the finance team in driving the mission, goals and key strategies of Nutreco. This role provides leadership to a team of finance professionals as well as providing expertise to other functions within Nutreco. Manager, Finance is expected to conduct all matters in a manner consistent with Nutreco’s Corporate Values of Innovation, Caring, Capable, and Collaboration.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the national financial reporting function, including adherence to all Nutreco timelines and deliverables;
- Manage the Head Office finance staff including training and performance assessment;
- Manage and participate in financial and management reporting improvement projects;
- Ensure compliance with all Nutreco financial policies and operating procedures;
- Manage national forecasting, budgeting and long-term planning cycles;
- Review and provide input into all capital spending proposals;
- Act as the primary contact for all internal and external auditors.
PREFERRED HIRING CRITERIA:
- Masters level education in Business or Accounting, or equivalent experience;
- Project management experience with medium sized projects;
- Strong knowledge and understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS);
- Professional accounting designation (CPA, CGA, CMA, CA) preferred;
- 7 – 10 years of progressive finance experience;
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, ERP software and Hyperion;
- Exceptional self-motivation, initiative and determination;
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills for effective problem resolution;
- Ability to interact with all levels of management and cross-functional teams;
- Superior communication skills.
